Youths need an alternative way of
life and a non-threatening environment to discover
themselves. They need to know what is right and
what is wrong. They need to know about values and
morals. They need to know the Lord and what life
is really all about.
For more than 35 years now, SEP has
provided the Philipppine youths with this kind of
youth environment to discover themselves. We
also have youth camps held yearly in
various camp sites
around the world
for more than forty years now.
Join now and
have fun this summer! Don't miss it this year!

What
Happens at Youth Camps?
Activities
Our SEP or youth camp has been designed to holistically approach
the needs of young people giving careful
attention to details to achieve a well-balanced
program and a youth-friendly environment.
Spiritual
Daily Morning devotions
- a whole camp-wide devotion is done
after breakfast and before the
activities. Various Christian living
topics are interactively discussed and
facilitated by youth pastors and youth workers.
Christian Living
instructions - also called as CL
classes are given to all dorms. Classes
are smaller in nature and brother and
sister dorms are paired together for
this class. This class covers more
specific topics that challenge the young
people and give them a better
perspective in life. Topics usually
cover relationship with God, with
others, and with the rest of the
community. Campers are given time at the
end of the class to write journals, pray
together or even ask questions from the
CL instructor. Christian Living
instructors are usually older members and
pastors of the Worldwide Church of God.
Dorm
Chats / Fireside Chat/ Beach side Chats
- are informal gathering of campers per
dorm (or sometimes with their brother or
sister dorm) where they can freely ask
questions to a pair of married couples
who serve as their dorm parents. There
is no fixed outline for this discussion
because we want the campers to freely
ask questions they would not have been
able to ask anywhere. These chats are
usually done in the evenings and the
campers would sometimes forward initial
questions to their assigned dorm parents
to help the parents assess their
questions and fields of interest. The
overwhelmingly popular topic for this
activity is interpersonal relationship
with the opposite sex. Campers feel free
to ask the ins and outs of dating,
marriage, sex and the ramifications of
pre-marital sex and other concerns.
There are instances however when these
chats focused on the heavier matters of
the Christian faith.
Camp wide Worship
Service - this is done on a Sunday. This is
a time
when the members and families affiliated
with the Worldwide Church of God attend
a worship service with the campers and
staff. This allows the campers to
realize that they are part of the bigger
Body of Christ. With the camp-wide
worship service, the praise and worship
is usually led by the campers and staff
and the main message may be given by the
Camp Director or a pastor of the
Worldwide Church of God.
Physical
Sports Activities -
SEP camps boast of well-programmed
sports activities that include archery,
basketball, volleyball, soccer,
softball, table tennis, swimming,
snorkeling, mountaineering, dance and
all-terrain biking depending on the camp
site conditions. Safety and security are
maintained at all times through specific
safety instructions and guidance
provided by well-trained staff.
Inter-Dorm Sport
Competitions - Toward the end of the
camp, inter-dorm sports competitions are
held. The different teams are assembled
from the different dorms to form an
all-stars competition in basketball,
volleyball, softball and others.
Socials - One of the
more important needs of a young person
is to feel a sense of belongingness.
Some of the activities designed at camp
are to ensure that the campers get to
freely interact with each other and form
friendships that could last a lifetime.
Mealtimes - This is
probably the best and easiest way for a
camper to know her dorm mates and other
campers in a very relaxed setting.
Campers eat together as a dorm and they
are free to invite another dorm to share
the meals with them.
Dance Socials - At least two
dance socials are held apart from the dance
classes that campers go through. Young people like
their music, their own beat and lyrics and really
respond when they are given some responsibilities
in the preparation of these dances. This is the
time for them to execute those dance moves they
learn from the dance classes and to apply those
dance etiquettes they are taught as well.
Talent Shows - One of the
usual highlights of our camps is the variety show
conceptualized and presented by the dorms. Their
creativity and enthusiasm and their amazing
talents are really inspiring.
Emotional
Dorm Life
- Campers are assigned a dorm as soon as they
register to participate in our camps. A dorm is
usually composed of 10 - 12 campers and 2
counselors. They do their classes together and
sleep in their pre-assigned rooms and dormitories.
They act as one family and in camp activities,
they are called as Dorm 1B/1G up to Dorm 4B/4G. A
natural partnership between brother and sister
dorms usually take place and this is highly
encouraged because they learn to cooperate with
each other, particularly, in some of the more
physically challenging activities like
mountaineering and all-terrain biking.
Counseling
- All staff members are trained to counsel the
campers at any given time. While most of the
informal counseling takes place in the dorms and
are handled by the Dorm Counselors, activity staff
are prepared and are intentional in their desire
to counsel a camper at any given time. A camper
may opt to counsel with the Camp Director and
other pastors of the Worldwide Church of God.
