FCL-2 On-going in Cagayan de Oro and Bacolod

FCL-2 in Cagayan de OroAs of this writing, FCL-2 is both simultaneously on-going in two different sites. One in Bacolod City for the Visayas leaders and another one in Cagayan de Oro for the Mindanao leaders. Here in Cagayan de Oro, we have 65 leaders from all over Mindanao attending this conference. As Area Coordinator for Mindanao, I am happy that a lot more of them attended and they come from more local churches and OBS areas even from far away Zamboanga. So far, we have covered today and yesterday, the Old Testament as well as Leading the Church. The leaders seem to be appreciative of what they are learning from this conference. Beginning today, we will study the Ministry of Management. Other subjects to be taught in this conference are Building Foundations for Life and Winning in Spiritual Warfare. Some 26 participants will graduate once they finish this  conference. Please continue to pray for the success of all these equipping sessions in both FCL sites.

Kidapawan Brethren Begins Serving Sultan Kudarat New Brethren

God's people in our fellowship in Purok Elisan Church and Pamantingan Outreach Bible Study (OBS) in Sultan Kudarat were thrilled and excited while in worship services for the first spring festival this year last March 24 in both areas. Around 25 people were in attendance in Pamantingan in the morning worship services where three members of the Kidapawan City Church gave meaningful messages. Around 40 people attended the afternoon worship services in Purok Elisan where important messages about our life in Christ were given by our Kidapawan brethren.

From left: Joe Salvador, Ernie Ariaga, Eli FloresIt was the first time that the members of the Kidapawan City Church were able to minister to God's people both in Purok Elisan Church and Pamantingan OBS. The Kidapawan City Church has been recently assigned by the Mindanao Area Coordinator to take care of these new brethren in these areas.

I did not expect the brethren in Kidapawan City to give meaningful messages to God's people in Sultan Kudarat but they did! Our new brethren in this province are and will be in good hands -- of the brethren in Kidapawan City. --Ptr. Eleazar Flores

Manila Church "graduates" youth at Santa Ana children's class

To cap the first segment of the children's outreach Bible class in Barangay 786, Santa Ana, Manila, 15 children (ages 5 to 10) were awarded certificates of attendance last Saturday, Mar. 23.  The children had completed their lessons covering the Creation up to Moses' ministry in Egypt.  Bible teacher Roman Saynes assisted Manila Church pastor Pete Melendez in awarding the certificates.  Six parents/grandparents/guardians attended the ceremony.  Mr. Melendez gave a brief message encouraging to parents to learn the Bible with their children.  Refreshments were served after the graduation ceremony.

"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you." (2 Thessalonians 3:1)
